There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Came home to drama. .

Update
An update:
We think he'll come home from the hospital today. They said it was a "good" break, meaning he can put weight on it as he feels comfortable with. He has a removable boot instead of a cast, so he can take it off to bathe and, if he prefers, to sleep. He's been prescribed a walker and shower bench, and they may have a physical therapy/home health worker come to the house for a couple weeks to help him transition to home. The healing will be 6-8 weeks.
They don't know what caused the syncope (fainting). He's had problems with dizziness for a while, attributing it to the blood pressure medicine. He also is on blood thinners due to DVT, and has had heart bypasses, stents, etc., on several occasions since the 80s. They've had him on a heart monitor in the hospital. I think the Medicare standard would have been to put on a cast in the ER and send him home, and the heart monitor was a way to get him admitted and opt for the boot (vs cast). He is 89 years old.
