• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Calsci Tinted Shorty Windshield

I have a 2010 RS that I really like because of the sport look. I want to use it for moderate touring as well so I am looking for a windshield that will give that sport/touring style and function. Do any of you have the tinted shorty windshield made by Calsci?

I am only 5'9" and normally run with a full face helmet so I wonder if this would be a good way to go? It looks to be larger than BRP's sport/touring windshield without looking to big.

If anyone has any other pics or videos of this shield it would help me out with my decesion. Thanks!!

Before I decided to get an Rt was looking at Rs with BRP's ultrasport windshield part#219400077 in the Canadian version of BRP acc catalogue. I am 5'8" and hate high windshields so the Rt's high windshield will take some getting use too.

We had the CalSci windshield and loved it. I'm not sure how tall it was but my husband and I are both tall so I'm sure it was the tallest one they had available. It really blocks the wind and you don't get any buffeting either. :2thumbs:

I like the looks of that tinted one!!
I have the Cal Sci X Large and love it because it allows the summer air in the vent and doesn,t seem to slow you down like the Very Large windshields. I love the look of it!!

I finally bought it!

Well, I went ahead and purchased the tinted shorty. I have had it a couple of weeks now and I really love it! Mark at Calsci provided excellant customer service as well!

Here is a pic of it installed on the Spyder:

Looks good  I have the XL Calcsi but I am over 6' and I like it. I only use it during the colder months and go back to the stock shorty for the summer.

How much over 6' are you? I am 6'3 and I wonder if the XL would be tall enough.

Thanks,

I am 6' 2" The XL is good but it does not block all the air in my opinion. I do wear a full face helmet all the time and like I said I only use it in the winter. If I had to buy another windshield for the winter only I would get something taller.

Thanks that's what I was looking for.
