There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Calling all BRP comfort seat GS/RS riders

We had another thread going regarding sliding forward on our Corbin seat but did not receive many comments from those who own a comfort seat and are riding in an upright position.
Question: Do you slide forward in the seat during normal driving conditions? Are you truly comfortable with it as a driver? How does your passenger feel on it also?

Thanks,
Dragonheart/Gayle and TNEagle/Jerry

I only have about 100 miles on my comfort seat but I have'nt noticed sliding forward at all. I can't say it's more comfortable than the stock seat but I'm sure it has to break in.
The wife LOVES the passenger seating area though. And as all guys know.. if the wifey is happy, I am happy!!

I posted on your previous thread. I had my comfort seat for a little over a year and put a few thousand miles on it. It was the most comfortable when I had the risers installed and was sitting upright. It never occured to me about having and issue of sliding forward on it. The sides and the back are a little stickier than the seat itself, so maybe that helped.
I thought the comfort seat was a great seat. Never had an issue w/ it. I only sold it because I wanted the Corbin Smuggler trunk.

I love my comfort seat and haven't had any issues with it on long rydes. I only have the BRP Riser block installed, so I am still leaning forward some. I do not slip in the seat though.

Nancy loves her Comfort Seat! It most certainly sits her back, with no sliding. She is short, and with the stock seat she always edged forward when she rode. When she got the Comfort Seat, she was firmly planted against the bumstop, and we had to add ESI 3" extensions on top of the BRP 1" riser, so she could reach the bars.

I personally preferred the stock seat, but even I have to admit that the Comfort Seat provides more lateral support. I have never slid forward. Keep in mind that seats are a very personal thing. If you can try a few for yourself (with permission) at a Spyder event, you may have a better idea of what will work for you.

The passenger seating area on the comfort seat is GREAT!! Better than the Corbin. I prefer the Corbin front seat though over the front part of the comfort seat.

We have one of each.

Well,

I figured reporting 9,000+ miles on my comfort seat without a problem would be impressive but docdoru thoroughly knocked that out of the park.

My official opinion is that there's no comparison to the Corbin seats because of their customizability (new word) :2thumbs: and heat option IF money is no object. I stress that "IF money is no object" point.

However, you'll get the most bang for your buck with the comfort seat. As far as I'm concerned, the comfort seat should be standard and they should do away with the stock seat permanently. It's better looking and way more comfortable.

As I said I have 9,000+ miles on mine and I haven't experienced the numbness that I frequently did with the stock seat even once. My thighs typically began to fall asleep after about an hour, followed by my...plumbing. That is not a problem on the comfort seat.

They're both good products, Corbin is simply on another level.

I have over 8000 miles with my comfort seat and have had no issues with sliding forward. Would purchase one again. :2thumbs: No complaints from passengers.

I have a comfort seat but I do feel like I slide forward, at times...perhaps it that depends on what I am wearing? The stock seat was horrible for me as I felt like I was always sliding forward...

Hmmmm...

I have the comfort seat and I do slide forward on it too. My handlebars are stock. I added the SBF Racing floor boards and that helped a lot. The stock pegs probably were causing some forward force from the angles of my legs. I was going to go for the Russel DayLong saddle but I'm not in such a hurry now.

:dontknow: I can't speak for anyone else, but perhaps I have enough weight on my comfort seat to keep me from sliding anywere? :roflblack:

:ohyea:I put 15,000 miles on my comfort seat last year - much better than the stock! Had the 1" riser from BRP and the 3" inch riser from ESC soon after getting the bike, they made as big a difference as getting the comfort seat did. Oh - I used a sheepskin on both seats, helps with staying cool when it's hot, warm when it's cold, and get's me a bit more out of that crotch rocket position. Hope this helps. :f_spider:

We got our comfort seat before the trip to Los Angeles for the Hollywood event. We also rode to Chicago last year with the comfort seat. I am very comfortable on the front and Debbie loves the comfort seat over the stock seat we had before. I have never tried a Corbin seat. Hope that helps.

Thanks to all From Dragonheart & Tneagle

Due to the positive replies I ordered the comfort seat off Ebay for $379 (free shipping). Looking forward to trying it out. Also will be installing the ISCI hand brake this weekend.
