Does anybody know if Spyders sold around the country meet California Emmissions requirements? Specifically the 2015 RT models?
Pam in the Golden State trike Ryders have to wear helmets.Oddly, California is one of the few states that doesn't require a motorcycle endorsement if you ride a trike. I think trike riders are also exempt from the helmet law. <------ correct me if I'm wrong. :dontknow:

I wanted to get my F3S from Texas, cost a few grand less but California DMV said no way, you can only buy a used one with over 7,500 miles on it if you intend to register it here in Ca. So I bought it here and paid more money. Was glad i checked before flying to Texas and riding back here

California does not smog check motorcycles. The issue is registering them here if they were bought out of state. I think they really believe they are special and better than all the rest. When I went to change my license from CT to CA even though I had had a CA license before they said we had to take a written test (in pen on paper). I guess they feel the rules are different outside of CA but we didn't have to take the driven test probably cause we drove ourselves there..:roflblack:
