• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cal sci windshield

There have been a few posts inquiring about taller wider wind screens.

I just replaced the 16" stock windscreen with a 22" cal sci. Got to ride about an hour and a half today, 40F, gusting to 15 mph. Did not get to try it out with wife, so don't know about wind on her yet. Also don't know about wind noise on her intercom mike yet. It was bad with the 16".

Buffeting for me is way down. And noticeably warmer. The 22" is wider, 4" as I recall, so less wind on arms.

With the screen full up I'm looking through the screen. With it full down, I'm looking over it, line of sight hits the ground about 40' out. Even with the screen full down the buffeting is significantly less than the 16" full up.

More later after I get bride to ride - that won't happen until it's 55F or warmer.

One pic is with the 16" held in position. The other is the 22.

22" is about the size of the stock windshield on the RTS and Ltd, only the SS has the shorty. It seems that most folks don't care much for the shorty.

I installed a Cal Sci on my BMW RT and was very happy with it. I got an F4 for my Spyder and am very happy with it also.

Had one on my ST1300 and my 2011 Spyder which I transferred to my 2014. I find it quieter with good protection. In excess of 50000 miles including trip to Alaska. Rain, hail and snow did as expected. Jerry

Had trouble with the pic upload. Got it.

The 16" is held in position. The 22" is installed. Reference for line of sight: I'm 5-10, 30" inseam.

I had a CS Medium on my '04 FJR for over 100k mi and loved it. It had lower holes which eliminated buffeting but was controversial back then.
