On the ride home Sunday, I got a brake failure light. on checking the code, it was a C1282 low pressure. The brake feels no different than it has, but I cracked open the manual, did some research, and found that it could be low fluid, or brakes need bleeding. I checked the fluid level, and it was good - almost too high in my opinion, so I decided to look up the bleeding process, and saw there was a manual bleed, and a bleed through BUDS. Anyhow, I figured I'd try the manual bleed. When looking at the rear caliper to see just how difficult it would be, I discovered the pads are pretty much gone in the back! I've ordered a full set of pads from BajaRon, and will be swapping them later this week.
My question is - Is the 1282 code one that needs to be reset by BUDS, or will it reset automatically if the problem goes away?
