• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

C.H.A.D. vs CAL SCI vs CORBIN wind deflectors

Seems like that windshield has been taking a long time to come out. When Shawn was still with Thibault / Industries 7, it seemed like CHAD was close to being complete. I wonder what happened to it after he was no longer with the company? :dontknow: I was anxious to try it about three months ago but, since then, I've gotten Marcel's slide screen and I'm happy with it. No more windshields for me unless this one breaks.

Part of the problem resides just with that phrase...Shawn promised lots of thing even if he knew they where far from being completed or ready...It takes time and a hole lots of testing to come out with a windsheild that meets what people (Focus groups and testers) want and need. We could of produced a windsheild several months ago with a smaller lips size (hand wise), ergonomy that wasint tested fully, a less smooter ride than the one we are preparing to ship, would of you all ben happy with that? i think not...so we decided in sted of comming out with an updated version 2-3-4 like others do, and make custemers pay for all the new features, we decided to just work on the model we had and bring it out the best we could the FIRST time. I truly appolegise for the delay, but comparing us to other manufacturers when our product is still not out there, it's just wrong. I am sure that once this windshield will be starting to ship and be installed on your Spyders, you all will approve us taking the extra time to make your rides more plesent. Again i appoligize for the delay, but you should be seiing the C.H.A.D very soon! Have a great day!

I agree with your approach. When the CHAD was first announced, it was said to be "ride tested." In correspondence I learned that a few riders had ridden the prototype, under limited conditions. At that point, I was certainly not ready to commit. No shield is going to be perfect for everyone, but having the input of as many riders as possible, and refining the product until you are satisfied that it will be pleasing and effective for most, seems like a good way to do business. We are all impatient, though, so it is important to get it out here for us to try as soon as it is practical. I, for one, would love to buy just one shield, and never have to change it again. I have not been ready to jump in the water for anything I have seen yet, but I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see and try the CHAD.

I also agree with the approach. I'd rather have one that works... and I've had one on order from the Magic Man for quite a while now. I'll let you know what I think when it gets here.
