There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. buying a used 2019 F3s from dealer, told me there's an automatic FULL 1 YEAR WARRANTY & that i can take it to any can-am dealer for warranty service?? EVEN THOUGH THE 2 YEAR WARRANTY HAS ALL READY RUN OUT??

IS THIS TRUE?

I have not heard about this. Anyone else?

Ask the dealer to show you the paperwork. Trust but verify. If a story, run, run, run from that dealer.

I've never heard of that either unless it was a program bike or a demo, then yes the bike comes from the factory with an extra year of warranty, but that extra year goes against the total of 5 years max you can get on a bike.

:agree: .... A used Spyder CAN have a partial warranty that CAN be transferred to a new owner. The original warranty could have 2 or 3 years ( mine had 3 years as new from a dealer ) ..... there has to be a paper trail, for the BRP - BEST warranty. .... Demand to see it ..... or you get an OOp's ( so SUE me ) from the dealer later ..... good luck .... Mike

The dealer MAY provide their OWN warranty or do whatever they want. And they MAY even pay for warranty work at other authorized dealerships. But, if it is NOT in writing, it doesn't exist. The only thing that I know of that is "automatic" is that some states have merchantability laws that requires DEALERS of used vehicles to cover required repairs for a short period of time after the sale. Usually 10 days or 2 weeks. And, there are even exceptions to those laws such as vehicles sold that are declared not street legal. I would be VERY suspicious of what your dealer is telling you. Good luck..... JIm

I purchased our 2017 new in 2019 and the 2 year warranty began the date of sale. It could be that the OP's bike has the same history.

Very simple…….do you have the vin? BEST is registered with the vin and can Carry over. Simply call any dealer other than yours who your buying from and ask them to run the vin and see if there’s any warranty. Any dealer can do it. It takes 3 minutes. Done it several times when buying used sled. My spyder was a demo so I got a huge discount and called another dealer to confirm I still had a warranty as advertised. If they say no then the dealer your buying from is supplying an aftermarket subliminal warranty. There are many out there. Same with cars. Call any dealer, provide the vin and find out. You can actually get in contact with BEST yourself and do it youself but I bet it will take an hour to get ahold of an actual person. BEST warranty starts the day the bike is purchased/registered unless the dealer registered it as a demo then it started the day it was registered by the dealer. It should have come with 2 years in most cases so check because it can be extended “1” time. For example if you have 2 years and extend it one more time 1 more year, you can not extend it after that. The most allowed is 5 years total counting the first year so extend it to full 5 if you can. This has been BRP policy on all their vehicle types since BEST started in mid 90’s.

Check Vin Number

:chat: Lots of good tips.
Be sure to have the Vin Number checked out for your Warranty.
BEST WARRANTY from BRP is very easy to check out.

Maximum number of years for BEST is 5 years.

So, if someone had the dealer start it on January 2019 it would expire on January 2024.

Good Luck with Your Mission. ......

From my experience so far Warranty work that will be covered varies from Dealer to Dealer.

I just recently called a Dealership in PA to get my drivers backrest that I bought at the time of purchase of my F3 and was installed by the dealer and covered under warranty because I didn't want to drive down into Northern Va. traffic to exchange the backrest.

I also wanted to meet someone at this dealership as they were a recommended person to have work on my Spyder.

They told me I had to go back to the original place of purchase to get it covered. Needless to say I didn't get to meet the person I wanted to.

This is very possible. But whatever their story is, I agree with everyone else. There will be legal paperwork attached with details. That's what you want to see. I wouldn't have any concerns unless they start hemming and hawing about documentation. As a matter of fact. They should be more than happy to show it to you.
