• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buyer beware!I wish I knew I was paying to borrow a spyder instead of own it

Remember when GM, Ford and Chrysler, along with everybody else, started using electronics for engine control? NOBODY had access to their software, and each company's was propietary. It wasn't until the aftermarket started putting out modifiable stuff the we were allowed into their secret world. If you didn't know about the BUDS system going in, you didn't do your homework.

Scotty - do you have a reasonably priced 60's bike with points and no electronics for sale?
Hijack alert! Nah, I seem to never sell anything...that's why my garage is so darned full! :D

I am very disappointed after my purchase to learn that I have spent $17,000 to borrow a spyder, and not own one. For my $17,000 I do not get the right to work on my spyder myself because there is no scanner software, and BRP wants to keep a person depending on their Independent dealer for service.

No company I have ever heard of is doing this so it never crossed my mind when I made my purchase that I was caught in a trap.:chat:

GM, Ford, Harley, BMW, Toyota, Honda, and ect all retail a option for people to service their personnel property themselves. But CAM AM is a rare bird that caught me off guard.

Hey Nater, take a hike, we don't need your kind on this Forum. Go spew your vile somewhere else.

Lighten Up Nater1

nater1 I think it's time to sell your Spyder before you get the handle hater1. You seem to be very unhappy with your purchase looking at the few post you have. Sell it now to get most of your money back. It's obvious you'll never feel good about the Spyder or BRP. nojoke
Hay Nater1,First off hate to see a fellow WI rider give up on this great machine. I don't know about anyone else but I bought my :spyder2: to RIDE. So Nater1 Don't give up and sell just get out and ride it and enjoy.

The personal attacks. Some understand my point. Others have no sense.

I like the personal attacks it shows your IQ levels.

Some understand my concern, and agree with my conclusion that a owner should have the right to repair their own purchase.

I feel BRP should retail a pin activated BUDS system so people can repair/tune their own equipment.

You should get a plan together now so when your warranty comes due you are not trying to figure out a plan then.

As customers of BRP products we need to let BRP know what we want so they can plan for it.

Seems like you are the only "we" on here. Still haven't gotten the message we are trying to convey to you? And IQ levels??? These are not personal attacks. You came on with both barrels and blasted BRP and their organization, dealers, etc. Get off and move on.
