• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just received mine just last week after a 3 week wait.
the last conversation I had with Bustec, he stated that production is up now that sickness and vaction days are over. But !!!!!..... I would call very very freuently.

Mine finally arrived by UPS today!!! Yeah, now I need a trailer. Guess I'd better get ordering soon to stay with the 08 prices.

Dont you have either the corbin bags or Givi bags?

If so, will this hitch work with whatever youve got, or do you plan on swapping out when needed?
Thanks!

I have the GIVI bags, dltang (wife) just uses some Cortech soft side bags for temp storage. Once she gets a trailer, along with my GIVIs, we'll be set for basically unlimited miles / days of riding. Well, the trailer and our Russell "Day Long" saddles.

I knew one of you had the Givis, but thought the other had Corbins...OOPS!!!

If I could get a setup with a hitch and the Givis I would be a VERY happy man. I have a trailer, but dont want to pull it all the time, so Givis would be the best setup for me, with the ability to throw on the trailer when I go camping or to Sams Club...LOL

I saw a post of a Spyder with Givi bags AND a trailer hitch, haven't been able to find it again, would like info if available.

Id like to see that too, as long as the hitch was mounted to the frame and not the swingarm. Im not a big fan of that type hitch.

I'm sure BJT can look over his wife's new hitch, and his Givi mounts, and give a fair estimate as to whether they appear to be compatible. Give him a few days.

That would be GREAT!!!! You hoo!!!! How about it bjt....can ya help me out? LOL

I suspect that the mounts for the bags use some of the same mounting spots the hitch does, and they they conflict, but I cant say for sure.
I think Bushtec and I7 need to collaberate and make a combined unit...LOL
Id buy the first one!!!!!:2thumbs:

While we were at Bushtec, Andrew came out and looked at the GIVI rack, compared its mounting / position with their hitch and said no way. He didn't seem too interested in looking at it much past that point. They do occupy just a bit of the same space and I think that if the hitch was narrower, they would both fit but I'm not going to press the issue. I have zero interest in having both the bags and the hitch on my Spyder so there was no need to badger them about it. Maybe you could call them and have better luck with the hitch / GIVI rack setup scenario than what I did.

Thanks!!!

Do you know if they use any of the same attach points, or just occupy some of the same space?

Thanks for the info!!!!!;)

Both, the same attachment points (holes near passenger peg where muffler hanger mounts) and because they are trying to use those same holes, there is a bit of part overlap. I believe it could be worked out but, like I said, I know I won't have a hitch so I didn't press anyone on this.

The base price on the low end Bushtec is only $2350 and they are extremely well made. We visited the factory and we were very impressed. The quality of the product is superb and everything is made right there except for the air ride suspension. The people were great to deal with and I was just very impressed and happy with the service.
