• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

bump skid plate

The bumpskid was the first thing I bought for my Spyder. Look at it this way. The bumpskid costs less than $200 with shipping and will take loads of abuse before it has to be replaced. The "bump" part of it keeps you from damaging the front end if you tap a curb. The front part that the bumpskid protects costs between $275-330, depending on your Spyder's color.

On my last trip to Reno I hit the asphalt where the road excavation cut had sunken down about 5" as I was traveling at 60 mph. It rattled my teeth and I was sure I hurt the front end or the skid plate but I had not and it actually gouged out a chunk of asphalt about 2" deep and 6" square. In California I hit a gopher that ran in front of me and it cut the poor little guy in two but no damage to the bike. In Oregon I hit a high wood wheel stop hard enough to cut a chunk out about 8" wide and 2" deep, no damage. When I got home I check to see how the bolts that hold it in place suffered but they were all good.
