• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bugs

I've been using this stuff for years210.JPG
Works great on all the Tupperware and windshield
Also, can lasts for ever. you only need a little.

:agree:

I've been using 210 for years. I keep a wet cloth in a zip lock bag and the 210 in the frunk. When the wet towel gets real dirty ai put that one in the wash and set up a clean one.

HOUSE HOLD PLEDGE somewhat prevents sticking, takes bugs off easily, and takes the "swirls" out of the W/S. I use Pledge on the entire tupper ware and W/S. Works great and is very inexpensive compared to all the other products and their so called claims. Try it you'll like it. I use it on Airplane, cars, motorcycles and all my toys. (Windshields and Body)

Someday I'm going to buy that company!

$6.99 per can... i get it at CYCLE GEAR in Greenville, SC.... good for your Tuperware, windshield, helmets, and i even use it on my leather tail-bag.... spray it on the bug, let it sit for 1 minute, and wipe clean... fantastic stuff....

Guess was thinking along what things to add to lessen the number, will the aftermarket grilles do a better job protecting the radiator? Was thinking they would restrict airflow too much.. Thought I saw someone selling light covers that velcro in front of headlights, but havn't found them yet, will keep digging. Tganjs.

You don't say what year and model Spyder you are trying to protect but you say radiator so I assume you're tsalking about a V-Twin. Spyderpops may have something for you; check out his ad on this site. If you happen to have a 2014 or later RT, his KOTT (Keep Out The Trash) Grilles do a great job IMO.

What's the difference between washing bugs off the bike or washing them off of the various shields and guards that are made to keep bugs off the bike?

You might be interested to know that they tend to clog up the dryness sensors that are present on almost all dryers these days.
They leave an oily residue......on the clothes and inside the dryer drum too.

Lovely!! It's amazing how many products do more damage than good. Two examples: The mfr of one of today's porcelain-lined nonstick pans told my husband never to use nonstick sprays (like Pam) because they eventually create a sticky surface. And, my opthamologist told me Visine actually damages eyes (use Systane or GenTeal).

Forgot to mention that.
Almost every bike shop I've ever been in has it......but with a different label for the brand of bikes the shop sells.

I use it AFTER first cleaning off the "top layer" of bugs or dirt. ;)

A good soak down of Simple Green, followed up with a soapy wash will make life easy. A good wax job will keep them from sticking so bad, but nothing will keep it clean. The products that are all similar to Armor All, pretty much all contain silicone. The silicone is a shining agent as well as a slippery film.

I use a small spray bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide, it oxidizes the bug proteins quickly and doesn't harm paint.
They will just wipe off after a short soak.
The trick is to get to them quickly, like after your ride not a week later. LOL
