• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bugs !@#$@# What will get them off?!

I have found that regular use of Lamonster's Detailer and Matte Detailer keeps the bug juice from sticking and makes cleaning the stuff off a breeze. Great product. Even water spots wipe right off. I use it on the entire trike.

I 2nd the very soft paint. I was amazed how fast bug guts etched the paint on my '22. I eventually had to use a mini DA polisher to remove the etching. A full size would have worked but the mini works well around the Spyders contours. Hopefully using one of the methods above will remove the bugs but don't be surprised if the paint has been etched. No matter what the results are, be sure to get a good ceramic or graphene coating on it after you get it smooth. The etching won't happen again.

A few years ago I was getting a show bike ready for the show circuit Roadster Shows, got everything painted a cool candy jade green and was doing the overlays of patterns and when I went to fill my spray gun a small but very noticeable spider fell into the paint it was not dry yet but as soon as the spider hit the paint it did not move, and not wanting to strip everything off and start over I I just continued with more toner of many colors and then the clear.... then color sanded it and polished it all out the paint turned out fantastic no one ever noticed the spider unless I pointed it out. I did get them asking how I was able to paint that spider with so much detail... hahaha I would say that spider was well etched into it.

Plus 1 on BajaRon using a warm water wet cloth/towel, have been doing the same thing for years, use the same process on the shield. A quick wax on the body work and Plexis on the windshield makes it even easier and good to go for next ride.

Go to NAPA and get Bugs-B-Gone. It is what we used at the body shop and the bugs melt away like magic and leave a perfectly clean surface. Its made by SeaFoam so you know its a quality product!
