• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP warranty

Well I had my first dealings with the BRP warranty people and to say I was livid was to put it mildly. Here is the short story. I posted a while back on Spyderlovers that the drive belt that was shredding. Posted pics . BRP says it was a road hazard and would not cover it. I said it was not and had a long conversation with the BRP rep. He was courteous as was I with no cussing just an intelligent back and forth. I was at dealers at the time and he talked with Spyder tech at dealers, and we came to a compromise. BRP would pay for the belt and I would pay for the one hour labor to install it. I was happy with that.
I was not happy about the time it took them to get back with me. I was dialing the number ( I had the case number) and it took four bleeping days to have one assigned to it. Don't know if this had anything to do with it but the night before I posted on the BRP facebook website and they posted someone would give me a call the next day which was today. Anyway I was happy with the outcome, but not happy on the time it took to get it done. Good Luck fellow SpyderLovers and safe travels, just wanted to make comments on this. I did go back and post on their website the compromise and that we settled the problem. Oh yes the drive belt cost was $299.00, labor cost was $105.00

Over the years my experience with BRP is they usually do the right thing. I agree sometimes they could be a bit quicker to react, but then again my experience with other large corporations pretty much mirrors BRP

the dealers I've talked to universally say the BRP is harder to deal with than the other manufacturers whose bikes they carry. I bought extra coverage.

Helps if you get to know your Svc Mngr and Mechanics

I find a great deal has to do with your relationship with the dealer (service mngr and mechs) as to what will get warrantied.
I've got to know those guys at my dealership and it works
wonders when you have a problem; I've never seen a BRP rep at the shop so it depends largely on what the mech tells BRP by phone as to how its worked out.
