There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Trailer Hitch

Thank you for the information I was looking to buy an aftermarket one before your post, again thank you...:bowdown::bowdown:

One of the reasons I bought the BRP hitch for my RT . The same message is in the 2013 Accessory book and the 2011 accessory book too.

After market Trailer Hitch.

Our 2011 RTS-SE5 is now out of warranty and we want to pull a after market trailer. Would appreciate any info on after market hitches that come with the wiring kits. Thanks in advance for your help.

You may be right. I can't see a difference in the hardware.

I just checked the Canadian prices and the ST hitch is 80 bucks more. We must get a really good module. :roflblack::roflblack:

I thought that the ST's hitch had a license plate holder hooked up on top of it... :dontknow:

If it does; is that worth fifty bucks???

That quote is more of a slap in the face to the Goldwing. Most GL owners have hitches attached, they're very popular. However technically it voids the warranty.

I want to find that quote, but I remember reading that when the RT came out in 2010 with the trailer, it mentioned being the ONLY trailer under factory warranty with the Spyder, pretty much slapping all touring bikes like the GW and HD's. In fact, when the clutch went out on my 2010, the dealer owner told me that BRP asked about the trailer and sure enough, got a clutch rebuilt all under warranty.

If you compare an ST without the hitch to one with the hitch, you'll see that the license plate is moved up via a bracket to make it visible, otherwise the hitch blocks the view.

Honestly, I thought that was common knowledge. I knew that when we purchased or 2012 RTS. That was one of the reasons we bought the Can Am was for towing the RT-622 for touring.

Yep, I remember that now. Most likely where the extra $50.00 came from.

Thanks. Now that you mention it, it's obvious. So that bracket is 50 bucks American or 80 bucks Canadian. MMMMM maybe I should get the RT hitch and bend up my own bracket.
