• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP (tire police)

This really would not be a problem if the Kenda OEM tires were not complete junk.... My front tires failed on my 2014 RT at 8000 miles and the rear tire at 10000 miles. My car tire replacements already have 13000 and 11000 respectively and show no signs of wear. Having said that, it might be better if we drop these continuous threads on this topic and simply go quietly about our business

CRAPENDA! Tom :trike:

BULLYING TACTICS

I have tried to order tires from both Discount tire and tire rack and was refused. It seems that BRP told them that car tires are not strong enough for motorcycles and the tire must be bike specific so as not to be liable. They have used scare tactics with the tire stores.

Three tries from Discount tire and twice from tire rack. (refused)
Finally decided to change size (215/60/15) and ordered a Michelin Hydroedge. Shipped the next day and no questions asked.
Other SL are using them with no problems,
I will never buy tires from BRP again.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN BRP! Those bullying tactics don't go over very well in the states. I've been riding for nearly 45 years, had many different bikes, and owned a m/c dealership. I've NEVER heard of such a thing in all those years. IT DOES NOT SPEAK WELL FOR BRP!!
CapNCrunch : =(

My rear failed @ 3900 miles in 2.5 months, 12' RT Limited. My.original rear 12,000 in 2.5 years.

I was offered 50.00 to replace them....hahaha what a joke after spending 375.00. Now I should spend another 325.00 for same crap....no way and also it was an new but old tire put on. I found out that tire had an update and new stock number for diff. Tire yet they still shipped defective one. To me that's putting my safety and others at risk.
Look @ veerubber.com
They make specific tires for trikes and have a ARACHNID that fits both the rear and front on spyders. They also make a ZILENT for the fronts too. Great site, reputation exceeds company and they stand 100% behind tire. There rear looks exactly like the kinda but much beefier....
Hope this helps
