• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. BRP Spyder investigation started. What will happen?

Very interesting article.

We did find out how many :spyder2: are out there. 52,000 from 2008 - 2014. Those of us that were thinking 50,000 were pretty close.

I see a Police :ani29: burned--from gas fumes issues.

They talk about recalls--don't know if that is the correct term. They list several instances. One- 34,000 for "fuel vapors." I believe that was new gas caps for everyone.

We will see how this all works out. :bbq:

Fires

I've been interviewed by the NHTSA twice, look for a recall on the body panels on all 2013 RS's and ST's, mine were just replaced on my 2013 ST-Limited under warranty and I suspect they're looking into the CAT and exhaust system recall, this will be an expensive recall for BRP

Hopefully; some good information will come out of it, and a solution wil finally be found.

Was just a matter of time.

Glad to see it finally happend.

We'll see where the investigation goes.

:doorag:

My source says much sooner, less than 4 months and he just maybe the lead investigator on the case from the NHTSA

i am wondering if you will see a buy back policy coming

From what I'm hearing about the investigation, it doesn't look like a buy back will be an option, they're looking specifically at the CAT and exhaust system as well as the redesign of the panels on the RS, RSS and ST's that were released in 2014

BRP should replace the panels on ALL RS's from the 2008 to the 2013 and all the fuel lines from 2008 to 2013. I put fuel line heat rap on me fuel lines. The fuel line should be replaced every 5 years on all motorcycles. That's IMHO.
