• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Spyder brake noise recall bulletin

click on link below and scroll down to see bulletin, print out and bring to your dealer.......BRP is paying for the new pads to stop the brake squeeling and the dealer is supposed to eat the costs of replacing the brake pads. Dealers don't wanna replace pads because they have to eat the labor costs on putting them on. this is my 2 cents. Good luck. my dealer replaced my pads and no more squeels. I bought my Spyder from them, this is why they ate the labor costs. They want me to be happy!!

What i read says to just remove the pads and apply "Disk brake quiet" The pads can only be sent back if they are new and unused according to the service bulliten. I have heard of people getting them paid for however if they looked lightly worn.

All depends on how chummy you are with your dealer. But any dealer gives me beef because I didn't buy it there, then I would report them to BRP and not do any business with them at all. Because with that tude, I know my spyder will be getting second class treatment there. I believe they are getting paid for their labor by BRP, otherwise there will be no incentive to service ANY spyders. Maybe they just don't want the hassel (knowing how dicy with prolonged parts ordering and potencial sticky situation with the long waits and risk having you pissed off at them). But in my opinion, in this economy, they should be welcoming any work coming their way to keep their techs busy and employed.

If you read this carefully, it says that the pads are "available for replacement". Reading further indicates that only a small series of specified serial numbers are eligible for a warranty paid replacement. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Does anyone know the cost of the new pads. I'm gong to ask my local dealer today but am afraid they won't know what I'm talking about.

If anyone has Can-Am part numbers it would be helpful as well.

Thanks...
