• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Side Cases

I'll also add--- here is what I had packed in just ONE of mine for my TN trip:

8 Undershirts (under armor)
8 Regular shirts
2 Pair riding pants w/ removable legs
8 pairs of socks
8 pair underwear
......and Dudley and Jennifer traveled all over the country for over forty days with just two spares of each. Lord help us if you ever buy an RT-622 trailer. LOL :roflblack:

P.S. You can create a lot of extra space by wearing one of those helmets on your head. :roflblack:

HAHAAHA--- I HAD to wear one all the way home--- no room to fit all 3 !!

ANd yes---- I tend to pack last minute-- and very quickly--- so I tend to overpack---- but I gotta tell ya-- it was hot and muggy down there and it was great to have plenty of extra clothes.

If only you had remembered to pack deodorant!!! :yikes:

I had to ryde behind you the whole time and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the Spyder's exhaust that was gagging me!!! :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:

I think they will fit standard full face helmets, but if you have modular full face like I do they will not.

Pretty similar load out here.

My top case held my laptop bag... which is pretty big by itself, so I only kept a towel and my cell phone in there as extra.

All my clothes and toiletries were in my side cases, and one had room to spare. One was fully occupied with a duffle bag with all my contact solution, shaving kit, and some clothes. The other was about 3/4 full.

I too took: (in side cases)

Two pair of jeans (one worn)
8 pair of socks
6 t-shirts as I thought I'd end up with some anyway from the event.
8 pair of underwear
1 pair of casual shorts
Thermal underwear (just in case)
Sweatshirt
1 long sleeve shirt

In my front trunk:

Fire extinguisher
Cable lock
Tools + rags
Zip locks and rubber bands for GPS in rain (it works)
Microfiber clothes and cleaner
Fix a flat
Another towel
Sun Shade
flashlight
Frog Togs
Riding jacket liner.

I didn't pack sneakers as my riding boots are comfy and designed to be walked in as well, so they aren't cumbersome at all...I lock my helmet to the Spyder. It is pretty surprising what I could fit for that length of a trip... considering if I left my laptop at home, I would have had a ton more room given the size of my V46 top case.

Now that's a ton of clothes--- left the other side bag for other items.

The other bag had my Cpap machine and toiletries.

Front trunk had extra shoes, Laptop, 2 quarts oil, 1 quart radiator fluid, 1 quart spray-cleaner and other misc stuff.

Rear top case had full face helmet, rain gear, bungees, tarp, extra sun shields.

Passenger seat bag had tons of tools, jacket, 1/2 face helmet, Battery Tender.

Then small items like keys, wallet, gum, water, etc... went in my BRP tank bag.

I was able to make more room for the way home--- HAD to-----

Had 3 extra shirts going home -- plus another 1/2 helmet! LOL

I was amazed at how much stuff I could fit in all the bags. 7 days on the road--- no need for any laundry service!

I have them

I love my BRP sidecases---- the initial install is a bit tricky--- but after that they are SUPER easy to remove.

The bags come off in 10 seconds with the turn of a key and the push of a button.

The racks come off it 30 seconds with using a special tool provided. Handy for cleaning the bike or getting back to the sporty look.

As far as helmets---- NO - you cannot fit 2 full-face in each. I actually think you would be hard pressed to fit a full-face into ONE -- but I can't remember trying---- I'll give it a shot tonight with my Scorpion EXO-1000.

I usually use the side bags for clothes, etc.... and then put my helmet in the trunk-- or the rear GIVI case I installed --- or just leave the helmet sitting on the bike.

No you can't fit even one full face helmet in them. it will go in but you can't shut the lid. At least my 3/4 helmet would go in

I have a question from the guy who installed his..

how do I take the brackets off when the turn signal relocation is there?

if I unbolt to get the rack off is there a spacer or something?
