• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. BRP Shaky Mirror Fix for 2020 RT and F3T/L

$75 for what should be free. Or not needed if they were designed properly! Tom :spyder:

Lamont's fix is the cheapest way out, other than like said, the company doing it right the first time! But after watching some of the video's of that fix, where that bolt makes contact with the mounting plate in the back, it looks to me that there is rubbing going on where it is wearing it's way threw that plate! I was thinking when I saw that in I think it was Lamont's video that maybe a little gasket compound or gluing a small piece of rubber back there to strike agents would keep it from rubbing threw! Or maybe I am just trying to reinvent the wheel and it don't matter! Just a thought, some thing I picked up from the video, good luck guy's

I ordered the parts earlier today. 62$ seems excessive, but i have seen that the screw fix eats into the bracket on the machine.

708400550 x 4 - Brass Anchors
207551044 x 4 - M5 Screws
232561200 x 4 - Nylon Lock Nuts

My Lamonster mirror fix was free as I already had the tools and lots of 1/4-20 screws. No more loose mirrors and no $75.
My mama didn't raise a fool!!

BRP has a mod kit out for 2020 RT and RTL - possibly F3's too (?). It converts the clip -on mirrors to bolt-on.
Kit can be ordered from BRP dealers and is free of charge. Service dept. will install - takes around 10-15mins.

Just had the work done on my RTL - mirrors rock solid now

I posted this in another thread. After about a month of riding with Lamont's fix, the mirrors started to shake again. Not as much as the original problem, but still troublesome.
I found that the metal screws threaded into the plastic plate had started to back out.
I'm not sure how well Loctite would work with plastic, so I added teflon plumbing tape to the screws to tighten up the threads and then reset the screws.
If I have any issues with the screws striking the mounting plate, I'll just add a small piece of metal.

AT my 3K mile check, I'm asking my dealer to do the fix. I don't have a problem with it now, but time will usually bring out the problem.

Good to know. Right now (1 day in) it is rock solid, but if it starts to shake, I now know what to do. Thanks!

Got a part number???

The set for each mirror has three BRP part numbers, but don't have them.
The upgrade kit the dealer ordered came with two sets, enough to fix both mirrors

That's what I was hoping for, the kit number so I could refer my dealer.
