BRP Seat Gas Door RT

Is there anyone out there that modifies stock BRP seats with a gas filling door? That is one thing that BRP should change. Bob

There are a few threads on the subject. When RT's first came out, I switched over to the Corbin seat and got one with a gas door in it. I do not have a gas door on the other RT. Find I do not have a problem with not having a gas door. We always dismount the bikes when fueling, so a click with the key to raise the seat has not posed a problem.

It is a nice convenience item, but one I can take or leave these days.

have made their own, and you have links and names above. Threads on the subject here as well. Just need to weigh the trouble, cost, time and knowledge in doing it yourself to cost of custom seat. I found it helps not having one so we get off walk and stretch a bit...:thumbup:

I'd like one just so that when we go camping and I have stuff bungied to the seat, I don't have to unload it all to fuel up.

Hopefully, though, now that my wife has an FJR instead of her old Vulcan and can carry her share of the load, it won't be as much of an issue.

I have a client that does upholsty work & she re-man my stock OEM seat with a snake skin pattern & added memory foam & a fuel door for me...... I love it & it helps out tremendously............
