• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Owner's Event Suggestion

I had a thought this evening. And it is a selfish thought because it involves something I really enjoy. So what if BRP got a big blow-up movie screen at the owner's event one night. And we could all hang out and have kind of a BRP Film Festival and watch all the great movies Spyder owners have made. Like I said...selfish for me because I really enjoy that. But I have seen some awesome stuff on this forum that I have really enjoyed and would love to see captured in front of the owners at the event. I mean--who didn't love seeing SethO on the salt flats? I loved seeing Captblack rolling through rural Georgia during the holiday season. And we all love Lamonster's stuff. I can only think this would encourage more Spyder Ryders to get out there and capture their rides, which continues to inspire both prospective and current Spyder riders. Just a thought. No agenda (to my knowledge) has yet been published. This could be a fun diversion for us all.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Best,

:agree: great point
Also, word of advice for BRP executives: please drop the last 2 years old fashion casting/presentation that looks like a "labor union meeting"; surrender the microphone to the Spyder Owners, Ambassadors and Awards Recipients- we wanna hear them too!

Both great points and I think a spyder driving test like spyderfest did with the back up contest that Jim from IA won. That was fun and people learn about driving their spyders, plus it shows what owners do that BRP might not know about. And of course Drag racing.

Funny you should bring this up now.

They had a blowup screen at the LA Owners Event in '09. Can't remember what was on the screen, couldn't hear it either. Too much talking at outdoor venues like that. I think there was a Spyder on the screen.

Spyderfest Awards (stock Spyders only, BossWeb verified): highest # of:
-DPS's replaced
-TB's replaced
-days in the shop for repairs

Forrest wins TB from what I have read. Not sure about the other two!

In the Non-stock category, DocDoru wins in downtime after blown motor #2! ;)

Edit: and we are still waiting for more videos of beast motor 3!
