• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Jackets

We have these. Nice in the summer and with the liner installed they're not bad when it gets cooler. With the liner installed and a wrap around the neck these also work well with our Gerbings heated jacket liners. Quality is good.

Early on (2008) I purchased the BRP Textile Jacket. Comes with heavy winter liner. All weather riding for sure. Later that year, I purchased the Leather version.

Am happy with both. They were very pricey then...about $700 each. I still have them both, and they get used in the fall/winter, colder periods. Linda likes the textile, and I wear the leather one.

They both still work and look like when they were new. I stopped buying BRP branded stuff because of the extra dollars. There is a lot of other good stuff around.

I have two 6 ft. clothes racks in the garage with all our riding jackets on them. I have leather, textile, and mesh...in a few colors and styles. All of the stuff is more than 10 years old...but just like new. And we ride thousands of miles. I feel that we don't need any more riding gear.

PS. Have a couple pair of textile riding pants/w liners if needed, and traditional leather chaps. Since moving South, we had no need for either this last winter season.

Go on eBay and type in "Can Am Spyder men's jackets" in the search engine. Enjoy. Don't buy the first one you see. Look them all over then come back the next day and look again. Prices change often. Look for free shipping.

Here are a few of mine.

I have the Cruise Jacket from BRP. Removable Liner, lots of vents and windproof. About the only drawback is that it's a little bit heavy compared to jackets from Columbia for example. I've been wearing the BRP brands for snowmobiling for years and I find their gear is very durable and plenty of warmth when you need it. Another Con may be the sticker shock with anything brand specific from BRP.:yikes:

I have a ladies : black/grey, with removable liner, stand up collar, a lot of pockets/vents. Medium weight. Zippers on sleeves. from BRP.

CAN AM in white letters on front of jacket.

I have had the jacket since 2012. I like this jacket.

I would be more tempted to get the jacket I wanted, with features I liked...

:agree: I would not wear any of the BRP jackets if they gave them to me as my first two equal considerations for jackets are armor protection and high visibility. Logos are absolutely no consideration for me; I prefer none.

You can usually find non-current BRP jackets for a "reasonable" price.....but they're still too expensive for what they are. I found a nice one at my dealer a couple yrs ago that was a year old AND discounted even more. It was a $260 jacket for $90 so I snapped it up. It's really nice, lots of pockets, great fit, nice removable liner, windproof. Had it not been on the rack for such a good price I would never have bought it. There are many other brands out there that offer more visibility etc....this time of year is good for the non-current stuff at the dealerships.
