• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP GO - App Update - Any “Music” option?

Hi Boys and Girls…….

There was an IOS update released for the BRP GO app 2 days ago. To save me the hassle of deleting my current XT pairings and re-pairing phone, headset etc only to find out nothing much has changed, can anyone who has updated the app tell me if it actually has the “Music” option reinstalled, or is it still just FOBO, Sygic, etc. The BRP documentation accompanying the update is pretty sparse.

Many Thanks…….Pete

Only music app is dash radio. I remember having music and accuweather before it was "new and improved!" Only BRP can take things away on an update!

You can now play ANY music whether downloaded music with Apple Music or SiriusXM, Google Music, Youtube Music or whatever. Just have it active on the phone when you turn the bike on. Once the system boots you can push the joystick up and it will play. If the music is already playing then it will just start playing in the bike. Apple is working on approving it for the new BRP Go. Dash Radio and other streaming music requires cell service.

That is splitting hairs, Flamewinger. BRP had a component under BRPConnect that allowed you full control of your phone music library, switching albums, playlists etc etc. You did not have to have ANYTHING active before starting it.

Now, under the “upgraded” BRP GO app, you only have the ability to move forward or backward a track, and then only if you start music on your phone before setting off. BRP rushed the combining of their marine/snow/road apps and released a product that even you would have to admit is a retrograde step……..and to then remove BRPConnect from the App Store so you can’t revert and use it while waiting for the BRP promised inclusion of the “Music” component in BRP GO shows a definite lack of customer focus.

Telling me isn't gonna do anything. It's BRP you need to complain to. I'm just trying to make the best out of it until there's an update. Get used to it and it becomes easier.

This is not possible when you have your phone plugged in, is it? I tried this on my 2018 RTL and it says bluetooth is not possible when phone is plugged in.
