• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP dumping Connect???

I just noticed I have a new navigation app on my BRP Connect. It is Waave Boating, a marine navigation app. I wonder if it replaces Sygic......does anyone know how fast you need to be going on an RT to float enough to use a marine app?

Went for a short ride and the new Waave app doesn't show up in the dash. Kinda like Accuweather. Really don't know what's going on with the BRP C system. :-(

It is annoying to hear of the problems. I subscribed to and downloaded the apps required by Connect and found them to be troublesome to deal with. I like to keep things simple so I just installed a phone holder on the handlebars and use one of the navigation apps on my phone. They are easy to work with and reliable as long as there is an internet connection. Of course since the Connect apps required internet connectivity as well I have lost nothing there.

I could mount a real GPS but between the Nav apps and paper maps I have been able to navigate for the last 50 years with no trouble.

Also, given the poor stereo performance, I stream music via bluetooth to by helmet intercom speakers.

Simple solutions to annoying problems. I just wish BRP would have left this "feature" off of the bike and lowered the price.
