• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Connect/Genius question - How do I exit?

I’m new to the BRP Connect system and I have an issue.

I can load any of the BRP Connect apps, use them, and exit them by pressing and holding the joystick straight down. However, the Genius Maps app doesn’t exit the same way. How do I exit Genius Maps so I can load other BRP Connect apps?

If you open the menu inside Genius maps and scroll to the bottom there is an Exit option. You should also get back to the main BRP connect screen by just holding the joystick down in the middle, not in any other direction.

Thanks for responding, it the joystick option isn’t working. It works for all of the apps EXCEPT the Genius Maps. I’ve looked again at the menu option and tried them all, and I don’t have an “Exit” button.

I think I’ll uninstall and reinstall, perhaps something went south during the installation.

I will take a photo of the menu when I get home later today and post back

Thanks. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it will exit when I hold the joystick straight down. I looked through the menu for an “Exit” and didn’t find one, but as long as I have a means of switching apps I’m OK.

I installed the Genius app but I'm not paying $90 for GPS. I just can't justify it. Too bad Can Am couldn't find a way to use Android Auto (or Apple CarPlay for the others). Less money in their pockets (I'm sure they're getting a kickback from the app devs) but more customer centric.

Go buy a Garmin for $500+ and then the mount and cable plus install for around $1000? I like the less than $100 GPS. You'll find that Sygic is $75-80 and sometimes goes on sale.

I've found that either pushing the joystick in and holding it or pushing it to the left and holding it backs out of the app or step you are in.
