• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Connect and Android Phone

I have a 2020 RTL and an iPhone. When the iPhone is connected to BRP Connect, it is "locked" from being used for any other purpose while connected to BRP Connect. Is this also true if you have an Android phone connected to BRP Connect?

It's not exactly locked. If it were you wouldn't be able to use the apps in the dash. It goes black to possibly save power and as I have my phone on the dash, when I get an alert it pops up like if my phone was unlocked. Since you should be wearing gloves there is no need to work the phone when riding anyways.

On an Android phone you can actually swipe up to access the phone when it is on the black BRP screen. This does stop the screen mirroring on the Spyder until you return to the BRP app. So like Flame said, not technically locked, but if you leave BRPconnect for another app the mirroring will stop.
