• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP 25" Windshield & RoboBracket

Hi all,
Has anyone out there used the RoboBracket with the 25" Ultra Touring Windshield. I just bought the RoboBracket and I am real leery of drilling the 4 holes in the windshield to just to try it out. Got to start thinking more before ordering things. I just might list them here rather than send them back. Got my order from Custom Dynamics yesterday so lots of goodies to put on while I wait to see if any of you have uesd that windshield combination.

Can't help with the touring shield, but I converted an F1 slider and after drilling the new holes, I filled the existing ones with plastic plugs from the local hardware store. Looks neat.

The robo-braket is very effective and allows you to fine tune your shield to meet your exact needs. It does however take time and is a PITA to adjust.

Givi with robobracket

About a year ago I installed the robobracket with a Givi shield I got off eBay. Worked perfectly; adjusted so I (5'7") have absolutely no buffeting.

My wife is apparently allergic to wind and wants to be in a pure bubble of still air. So to that end I put her 23" BRP ultra touring on the madstad brackets. She's 5'9", and has no risers so she leans a little forward.

Wasn't hard to drill the holes, they give you a bit for it even and a template. Go nice and slow. No chips or cracks, looks like it was professionally drilled if I do say so myself!

We adjusted it just one time for a little extra height and just a little more vertical and she's said it's perfect there.

I haven't done anything to fill the original holes, I'm sure a little plastic cap would do the trick, but it's in the black painted section of the windscreen so you don't really see them.

Oh, one tip. I didn't use the template. I took a piece of paper and put it on the bike and poked holes in it at the mounting points. Then lay the paper on the backside of the windscreen and scratched off the black paint at the center so I could see where to drill from the front side.

Leo, if you do decide to sell the robobrackets, let me know. But I do think they will work fine with the BRP ultra-touring windshield.
