• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brakes

I replace my brake linings on a 2015 RT and can not get them to stop squeaking. When I replaced them I completely removed the old ones and cleaned everything with brake cleaner. I have even removed them the second time and recleaned them. Still squeaking.

A light coating of copperslip on the back of the pads usually does the trick.. never put them in dry as they will squeal.

If you bought your new pads from BajaRon, in the directions he sends with them are suggestions on how to deal with the squealing. Briefly you can bevel the edges, use a hacksaw blade or file to cut a groove down the center vertically and there is a disk brake anti squeal lube you can put on the back of the pads. I use NAPA Sil Glide, but there others that work good.
