• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake

Questions

New member
New member here and having a problem. have 2013 RT, left brake seems loose. hit a bump and sounds like the wheel is falling off. went by the dealer Friday and ask them to check it. he rode it around in the parking lot. he said it was ok. well I took it home and pulled the wheel. turning the drum by hand you can hear the rattle. it is the brakes. with 1200 miles the dealer should fix it. I will go back Tuesday and be in a bad mood and the voice will be louder. my question is, has anyone else had this problem? sounds like the pads are just floating in there. any help is appreciated and I am enjoying the forum.

Must be fix and better take it again to the dealer. Show the mechanic how loose it is. Hopefully it's not too serious.

:welcome: I'm sorry to hear that your dealer is less than great. I wouldn't have let him tell me it was okay after just a ride in the parking lot. Good luck on Tuesday.

Is the rotor what you were turning? just wondering what part you were hearing. The rotors will nearly fall off when you take the wheel off. That is normal. Is it the caliper that is loose or the wheel bearings?

Both my ST and my RT sound like they are metal to metal when I slow down below 30. I just ignore it.

:agree: Can you get your hands on the caliper and give it a tug to see if it's loose?
If that's the case; jack the bike up, pull the wheel, and tighten that down immediately! nojoke
