There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Does anyone know the p/n of the 3rd generation pads? I just want to make sure that if I have a brake job done, I order the latest p/n.

I just had that stop squeak stuff applied to the backs of the rear brake pads today. My mechanic for my car said the caliper would have to be removed to do the front pads. Since you are not supposed to reuse the screws and clips and since I couldn't find a p/n for the individual parts, he was just cleaning the front brakes.

I know this is going to sound crazy but my wife was complaining about the brake squeal Saturday when we were riding and I had read on here about the brakes glazing and a tech said to hit the brakes hard to get rid of it.
So Sunday morning when I went for a ride to check out my Juicebox setting change I hit the brakes hard from about 30mph and noticed afterwards the squeal was gone even when we were riding later 2up.:dontknow::2thumbs:

The part# for the pads is #219800071

I just turn the volume up on my MP3 player. It drowns out the squeal every time.:roflblack::roflblack::yes::yes:

I have done the "slam the brakes from 60" trick too. It does usually work for a little while.

BRP must just struggle with brakes design. My outlander is obnoxiously loud. Can't wait to ride the side by side up in Chicago next weekend, any bets on whether the brakes will squeel on that!!

Not crazy at all, it does work but it is only a temporary fix. I wish it lasted longer, but I can always seem to find a spot to get on the brakes hard so I don't worry about it too much. :D

I for one have not experience brake squeal on my 2008 RS sm5 PE#193, But I have a new set of EBC brake pads in my Spyder parts storage box on hand for when the time comes to replace...freebob...:2thumbs:

Do those EBC pads come with the screws and clips? The service manual states to not reuse the screws and clips. But, when I check the BRP Spyder parts manual, the screws and clips are not called out separately. So, if you replace your pads and the new EBC ones don't come with the screws and clips, are you going to use the old screws/clips?

I used spray lock lubricant, which is graphite suspended, on the pins on which the brake pads ride[rear only] and that stopped the brake squeal for me.

WoW! I just returned from the dealer who had my bike for the DPS replacement and the brakes are screaming! Now I know what you guys are talking about! HOLY MOLY! There is a small blue dot on my parking brake lever so I guess they decided to "adjust" the parking brake while it was there. Anyway, I tried anti-seize on the pins "rear only" and it did seem to help a little but the squeal still exsists. It even makes noise after I release the brake. I ran the parking brake screw all the way in so I basically have no parking brake now and that didn't help either. If anyone has a suggestion I am all ears.

Thanks in advance
