• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake pedal position?

brake pedal position

Anyone else here feel that the brake pedal is too high? You have to actually lift your leg up off the peg to apply the brake. My wife just had her floorboards installed today and the brake pedal position is still odd. My plan is to shorten the brake rod some. It's easy enough to cut it and have it re-welded for a shorter reach. (Yes, we do already have the shortest rod for position A)

this was brought up in another post in which lamonster has explained that they designed the padal that way so that you're not riding the brakes causing issues with the computer. he also stated in the same post he would like a FACTORY hand brake. :dontknow:

You mention cutting and welding on the rods...

I'd be remiss if I didn't say that it's not a good idea to do that with such an important part of the bike.
What if your patch job busted? :yikes:
What is your Wife's life worth to you? :dontknow:
The guy who welds for me builds NASCAR frames, rollbars, etc. I trust his work more than whoever welded our F3 frame!!

Just got the pos 5 rods from the dealer and the first thing that I noticed was the welds for the ends didn't look that pretty to start with. Cutting them an re-welding should not be a problem.
Got to fix my sig. The GS has been gone for two years. Just purchased the F-3 last Monday.

When I picked mine up yesterday (and I am 5'11") I was going to to with a +1 and decided on the +2
max extension. I can now just rotate my foot to the brake and it hangs to the right when riding. (So the
lift-move-press is gone). The angle seems good for me as-well for a full compression of the pedal if needed
and fast.
