• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake pedal pad

Can someone tell me how to remove the brake pedal pad. I see that there are two bolts on the underside of the pedal, but I cannot fit a wrench or socket in there to remove them.

A socket will work. It's a little tricky getting it on, but it will go on. If I remember right, it's a 10mm or 11mm socket.

Good luck.

What are you planning to do?
I plan to see if I can do a little "reengineering" to create a brake pedal that is wider left to right than the stock pedal. I find I turn my foot in to engage the brake pedal, and my toe kicks the body panel. A pad/pedal that is wider would allow me to simply raise my foot and bring it straight forward to engage the brake. I already have a pad and a piece of stiff metal to attach to the stock pedal bracket.

You will find several vendors who already
have larger brake pedals for your Spyder
right here on this forum
