• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake pedal extension

I have the brake pedal extension (tricled) as mentioned above. I also have seal floorboards.

I had some concerns at first that it would bottom out on the floorboard--but it has not. Seal gives you a extra nut and some longer screws that raise the pedal height a bit.

I also had some concerrns that the extra weight of the pedal would make the spyder think I was riding the brake pedal and cause it to go into limp mode. After about 500 miles with the new pedal--I have experienced no problems with either of the above.

I like the pedal extender. 4 stars at least.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I paid $2.49 for a piece of metal bar at home depot, cut it to size, drilled 2 holes to match the factory holes on pedal and use that as extension. $2.49 was the total cost since I had the tools to cut(jig saw) and drill.
I am far from being handy with tools so its not that hard.
This idea was from a 65 old lady in San Diego back in late 08.
I felt that brake pedal did not extend out far enough the first time I sat on the spyder.

The nicest part ofyour solution is that you can easily "tinker" with it to make the size and shape just right for you!
For a finished look; have you considered dipping it in that "liquid rubber/vinyl" stuff that they use to coat tool handles? That even comes in colors...

I've only extended 1 hole width and most of extension is covered by peg. Plus it's black and hardly noticeable.
But I will using plasti-dip on other parts to black them out.
