• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake Failure Alert

On my way to coffee this morning a "Brake Failure" Alert started flashing on odometer. Coffee was only about a mile away. Shut Spyder down and got service manual out. Only a reference to "Parking Brake Fault" not "Brake Failure". After coffee started bike and ran some errands and no flashing light and brakes are working fine. 17,000 miles on Spyder. Headed to Montana tomorrow for night and really do not want to take cage. To worry or not to worry that is the question? Thx in advance for help.

the brake failure light will come on when you are a little low on brake fluid, has happened to me twice, fill reservoir and should be good.

Has happen to me had shop check it out they added fluid said that's all it needed. Two weeks later up in the mtns it happen again. Checked rear pads there were gone. So check your rear pad plus sand your front ones and clean your rotors. I rode 26,000 miles complaining to the shop about not feeling front brakes. Two shops said that was normal. My front brakes were glazed almost no wear on them. Now have good brakes all around. REJ:spyder2:

Brakes..!!

agree, check your fluid and sensors. Make sure your not riding the brakes (resting your foot on the brake) and your brake light switch isn't sticking...
