• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bottom panel potection from boot marks

I have found when using the Foot brake on my Spyder RT - S
My boot somtimes rubs against the bottom panel
This can just leave a mud mark on the panel or over time may leave a
permanent wear mark on the panel

Has anyone else found this and cured it with a Plate either on the Body Panel
or an extension to the Footbrake Pedal where the Rubber is to stop Boots/Shoes marking the panel

Thanks

I don't have big feet, but I find that when I apply the foot brake that my toe will leave sometimes a mark on the lower black body panel. Although I have not seriously looked at it yet, I would like to extend the brake pedal pad just a little. May even as short as 1/2 inch, just so that I can get my toe away from the body. If I think of something, I'll post it, but I haven't really looked at it yet.

How about a clear film, sort of like what they use as the stone guard on the 622 trailer. I think you can buy it at auto part stores. Just a thought.

Bottom Panel Protection - Solved

Re my question :- I have found when using the Foot brake
on my Spyder RT - S
My boot somtimes rubs against the bottom panel
This can just leave a mud mark on the panel or over time may leave a
permanent wear mark on the panel

I have now solved this - I have had made 2 Stainless Steel Plates
0.7mm Thick and shaped to fit where my feet are likely to rub against the bottom panel

The plates have been fixed using S/S Flange allen head bolts with locknuts
on the inside - This was to give the appearance of Rivets being used but
the panels could be removed and replaced if needed

I have taken some photos to show the finnished look

Note - The left hand footpeg has been modified to allow for my disability
the extra piece stops my leg foot sliding off making sure it stays on the footpeg
This had been used on my previous Motorcycle BMW K100LT
and it was easy to transfer to the Spyder
