• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bottom floor board removal?

What is the easiest way to remove the bottom floor board under the radiator on 2012 rt limited, when I close off the right exhaust area?

Gary,
Just reach under the bike with a 10mm socket, long extension and ratchet. Remove the two screws attaching to the frame, pull it down and twist it straight up and down. Leave the outside bolt on nut on place and cut it off flush with the bottom of the body.

That's the easy way! The hard way is to take out the outside bolt and put it back.

Hi, this is the old stupid guy from GA.

Thanks for mentioning the bolt, I never even thought about it holding something else on.

Well, that was easy and now my Inspector Gadget forward step on the right won't fall off. Above bolt went on easily. I put about 400 miles on the bike with that bolt out, so don't tell anyone, ok? I'm not quite sure what's happening on the left. It's mounted differently and I wasn't expecting that. I was planning to take it off also. Looked at that area in the info from the Green Manual and it was as helpful as the IRS. Working on it after I hear if it's ok to leave the left bottom off permanently too. I'm pretty sure it is, but I don't want the frunk falling off because I didn't check with the kind, benevolent souls that are SpyderLovers.
Thanks in advance.

Tuck, old maybe, hard of hearing, for sure, but stupid, I don't think so. Search the forum, SOP, leaving both bottom panels off. Right side for cooling and left side to facilitate oil changes.
