I actually replaced as many of the screws as I could with Dzus fasteners. Now I can have all of the plastic body panels removed within about 1 minute. Where I really find the savings in time with these fasteners is the removal of the underseat pan. Instead of having to remove 7 torx screws, 7 quick 1/2 turns of the dzus fasteners and the body panel comes right off. It makes replacing a blown tail light bulb on the side of the road that much quicker and easier.
Joe I ordered mine from Kurvygirl.com

They come in packages of 10. Basically what you end up doing is replacing the BRP threaded clip that the screws screw into with the clip for the DZUS fastener. There was some very minor modification of the body panel plastic. The BRP screw clips usually sit between two small plastic protrusions but the DZUS clips are just a bit wider so the little plastic protrusions were removed to allow the DZUS clip to sit centered within the screw hole. I have gone close to 400 km since replacing the screws with the DZUS fasteners and have not had any work loose.
The only challenging screw location was the underseat pan screw hole closest to the tail lights. The small metal half ring that goes through the head of the DZUS fastener wouldn't fit in the space that the underseat pan allowed. The solution was to just remove the metal half ring from this one DZUS fastener.
This is one of the best "convenience" mods I have done. I absolutely hated having to remove loads of screws just to remove body panels to do an oil change or change a tail light bulb.
My apologies I copied and pasted the wrong link to the product.. The correct product to use are the ones for the OEM plastic body panels with the correct link is below:

These are the ones for the plastic body panels.
Installed the DZUS fasteners on the panel over the rear tire today. Very cool and a great time saver. Had to squeeze the clips together with a pair of channel locks so the d-ring fastener would catch and tighten. At first they would not connect and just spun in place.
Are these the 12mm or 14mm? :dontknow:
I recall a thread a long time ago where there was some discussion as to which length was better; that is, the 14mm didn't require squeezing the clips together.
