• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had the warning light coming on all the time for parking brake failure. I asked the dealer about it and was told there is a little lever underneath the round pully that might have got bent. If he could'nt straighten it out He would put a new switch at $35.00 plus labor. I took the right panel off seen the broken lever so I cut the wires on the switch problem solved. I hardly ever use the park brake, I leave it in 1st. when I stop. The brake still works I don't have the red blinking light. Just in case somebody else has this problem

When you burn the brake pads and rotor, Then you will hook it back up. $ :yikes:

I know a couple of guys who have totally removed the parking brake off of their SM machines too.
I rarely use mine either.

Interesting..!!

did the lever break from lack of use..??:roflblack: I don't always use it but it does come in handy in many cases. If the park brake was on a two wheeler I would chuck it in a heatbeat. But yo each his own. It is good to know in case your out and the trip home is long to stop the flashing light...
