• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This reminds me how time has a way of mocking man's sense of permanence. In Hammond, LA is a building that must have been a Ford dealership many years ago. I can imagine the pride the owner felt when he constructed it and expected it to be a Ford store for near forever. Well, I don't know how long it was a Ford store, but I do know it hasn't been one for 25 years. The Ford logo in stone is still there, long after the owner has been gone. So how permanent was the dealership? It wasn't. But the stone logo is!

I lived in Bon Aire Estates west of Ponchatoula from 1991 to 2006! My brother came down for a visit one time and as he is a history and antiques buff we of course went to Ponchy to peruse all the antique shops. I don't remember which one it was but we went in off the main street and exited out the side street door. On the way out I said, "There's only one thing missing in front of the store. A sign that says 'Antiques made while you wait'!"

Were you one of the Goldwing riders that John Montecino used to tell me about?
