• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bluetooth with a half helmet?

Now that honey and I have our own rides, we're looking at bluetooth to stay in touch. He's really interested in the Sena Calvary Helmet, so Sena it is....

For me, I have a Gmax half helmet that I like so looking for thoughts on what would work best. Knowing half helmets are a challenge....

two things:
*I wear hearing aids, so anything requiring ear buds won't work.
*Hearing that the SPH-10H is being discontinued (?). Don't really want to purchase something that is at end of lifecycle. :sour:

Open to suggestions on what you folks have found that works.

Motorcycle Dave is a vendor here. Give him a call If the half helmet unit is being discontinued chances are, it’s just that Sena is ramping down that version of the communicator and that a clamp for one of the 20 or 20 series units will be coming out.

I put our Sena 10S system on our half helmits. Had to make a couple of pockets for the speakers, but it wasn't that big a deal. The unit itself mounted just like it does on our open face and modulator helmets I would have mounted any of the Senas the same way.
.

There are some here's one I found at HD IMG_6045.jpg sorry did get price but wasn't outrageous enough to remember :p have seen some universal pad mounts that will just hold the speakers in place

I am close to SENA in San Francisco and.......

This is the first I have heard the SPH10H units is discontinued.....
I doubt it is but I think I would have been informed. the new Cavalry
1/2 helmet that is now out and has everything built into it is cool but
not everyone wants to buy a new helmet if they already have one.
I will check with upper management and R&D Monday morning and find out.

I use half helmet , ordered the inserts for the ears, they come with speaker holders. Sounds better than my full helmet. I use Sena.

Get something like this and then use any Sena you like. https://www.amazon.com/MC-DEP-Delux...rd_wg=X0pUf&psc=1&refRID=9S593QDMH94M34Z78H3R

If you don't find what you like for you from Sena, remember Sena will work with other brands as well.

Sena had those demoing at a show we went to this weekend. Helmet was a bit heavy for me (besides I like my Gmax), it makes sense when you consider all the speakers, mics and etc was inside the helmet itself.
I gotta say the sound was pretty nice.
He's probably going to get one since he's looking for a new helmet, me, I'll probably grab the 10S.
