• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bluetooth helments

Been looking at the TORC-T27B Bluetooth helment for me and my girl while out on the RT. Not worried about CB or Sat radio. Just like to shoot the bull while crusing. Anyone have experience with this helment or other alternatives?
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Buy a great helmet and fit a great bluetooth unit to it. A helmet that includes bluetooth is seldom good a either protection or communication, and never have seen a single one that was good at both.

I'm not familiar with that particular helmet, but there are plenty of Bluetooth systems that are not helmet-specific and work great. If you are only interested in chatting with your girlfriend, just about any of the systems work well. I use the UClear HBC 100+ and am very happy with it.

If you think you'd want to be able to talk with others, while riding, look into which systems your friends have. While many of the systems have finally started fielding firmware that allows cross brand communications, it is sometimes hard to synch with between brands, and is dependent upon all involved having updated to the newest firmware . . . and not everyone does that.

SENA Blue Tooth

The SENA blue tooth set will do everything you want and more, depending on what
helmet you have to put it on/in you will need the SMH10-D-10 $249.95 or
the SMH10D-11 $269.95 both are on sale right now on my website.

I bought a torc bluetooth helmet on ebay 2 yrs ago and was very disappointed with it. Ended up getting the sena smhd 10 for me and the wife. We love it.

Bought two Bell Magna helmets and the Sena10 dual pack for just a little over 450.00 from the Long Beach bike show last month.

Another vote for Sena SHM10. We have used ours for two seasons now. The communicators are mounted on a Nolan N43 and N44 helmet. They work fine for us.

Motorcycle Dave, a sponsor, sells Sena. Give him a holler first.

Thanks for all the great advice. Dave, have GMax 67s helments. Will the SENA work on these?

its good helmet

I just purchased 2 last month and posted reviews. the 27b's are the latest design by TORC. very clear, dual stereo speakers, and long battery times. very satisfied!
ONE hicup- - - _ _ _ radio static seems to fade snow/ bleed into it somehow, but very faintly. have not figured that out yet. during passenger to passenger comm.:coffee:

We recommend....

At Brewer Cycles Ronnie, our accessories specialist, sells a lot of Scala Rider G9x Powersets. It's a bike-to-bike intercom that fits any full helmet. The list of features is very long; 1 mile range, 4-way conferencing, 9-way toggling (for you and 8 other bikers), voice command, Flash-pairing with other G9s, Click-to-link, Cardo Community, Music sharing, group signal, and so much more.

Ronnie also wants to make sure everyone understands that a Dongle must be added to your Spyder in order to make it blue-tooth compatible if you want to hear your music or use the gps. If you need any help or if we can answer any questions, feel free to give us a shout & ask for Ronnie :D

We wish everyone a Happy and Safe New Year!!!

My wife and I use the SENA SHM10 and we love them. They can be mounted on just about any helmet. We can stay in contact on the road and we bluetooth an ipod through our headsets.

Bell Mag 9 helmet and the SENA SMH10 duals for us. They have worked great and the helmets are pretty comfy also. This hemet is made to fit the SENA's in them.

Don't know..!!

not familiar with the built ins but the wife and I really enjoy the Scala G9's for intercom. Nice that you have phone gps mp3 and hookup to 8other ryders... be sure to get the best helmet safetywise then worry about communicatios...

Another vote for Sena SHM10! Ours works great! We listen to music when not talking and either can override for conversation. I especially like using the phones GPS audio. It will mute the music to give directions, then bring the music back up. From full charge they last about 10 hours of continuous use. On our New York trip, we set up a charging station in the left case so that we could charge them while stopping for meals. Very good system.
