• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Ridge Windshield Mounting issues

I am having issues with my BR windshield mounting. Anyone have pictures or comments on how it attaches at the back (speedo)?

Mine came with longer screws and the little round spacers and it looks like the rear supports are supposed to squeeze between the side of the display (speedo, etc) and the little round spacer. I cannot seem to get mine to fit snug enough. Any pressure and it just pops out.

I saw someone raise it up with a bracket, which would be cool, but I don't understand how I could attach it.

Here is a picture of what I have. The purple-looking spacer is snugged up tight and the bracket just lifts up with minimal effort.

A . . . . .

. . . . couple more shots.

I would not think so . . . .

Thanks Tom. Guess I need to get out the file and shorten the inside of that purple bracket so it causes the appropriate amount of pressure to hold the shield in place at the back.

. . . . just guess here, but I would think that it might rotate and then allow the right gap to firmly grip the bracket. Fileing sounds extreme.

Can you tell if there is something in the hole keeping the bolt from going all the way in?

Does it fit on one side and not the other?

I haven't checked, but are the bolts different lengths?

CHECK THAT YOU'RE USING THE CORRECT LENGTH BOLTS IN THOSE 2 HOLES!!
Don't file anything! I took mine off yesterday to clean behind it and the bolts that fit there are the same
size as the four that hold the screen to the main brackets via those rubber washers but may be different lengths.

Tried shorter bolts. Tried washers. Swapped sides.

Finally shaved about a 1/32" off the inner side and it snugged up. Pulled it down tight but it could still be lifted with a little force. Trimmed another 1/32" off and it held fine. Performed the same thing on the other side it it's all good now. Unless you take the spacer off you never know it was modified.

Now, if the rain stays away, I will test it.
