• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BLING

BLACK WIDOW

I'm getting a little tired of all the Spyder web and Spyders bling, would like to see a little more stylish bling/options. Am I the only one who feels that way???:dontknow:

I am with you on that, and am pretty sure we are not alone out there.

That is one of the primary reasons I did this:

Yup - I don't have any emblems like that on my Spyder. Just a couple of skulls & crossbones - but that's my club

:agree:

I've never been a big fan of the Spyder being associated with 'spiders'.

No you aren't! I've been wanting more non-spider themed stuff for awhile.

Wow! That's the first time I heard somebody say that, and I am in COMPLETE agreement with you. I never liked the "spider" theme given to this bike, but didn't really want to express that opinion to anyone. I see there ARE others with the same opinion!

Hey, SpyderWolf.... That design is CRAZY AWESOME! I've never seen such an incredible design before. That thing is a show stopper and eye grabber for sure. Great job!

I think someone else on this forum said this - it looks more like a scorpion than a spider.

LOL...That's true! After thinking about it, I guess it's better to have the spider theme, or ANY theme, rather than NO THEME AT ALL....And that's what I have with my "MP3 500".... NO theme at all. Now that's a bummer! nojoke

Thanks Derwin, but credit needs to go to Peter at www.spyderdetailing.com for the design, and to my wife for spending the 3 or 4 hours applying it to my Spyder while I was at work. :)

I think that some Spider/Spyder stuff , if in good taste is fine; However, a little goes a long way. IMHO nojoke

I totally agree with that statement as well. From time to time I still consider getting a set of the Kuryakn Black Widow foot pegs, but always change my mind at the last minute.

Spyderwolf: That looks AWESOME!!!!

Please, please, please post a couple more pictures from a wider angle so we can see the whole spyder! PLEASE ! :D

Very nice!
Cheers.

So those are all decals that are applied to your bike? Are they durable?

Heck, I would really like to make something like this for my bike, but I want to make sure there durable and will not just peel off. I have to admit, I would never have thought they were decals... I thought for sure it was a radical paint job for sure! I would really be interested in getting something made like this for my bike. What did you pay for this?

It is some type of special paper film that he gets from Germany. You apply it just like tinting windows, a few drops of dish soap in with water. They are very durable and fade resistant, another good thing is it will not hurt the painted surfaces underneath. If you check out his web site, he makes them for all kinds of vehicles and other things. If he has access to a bike like yours he should be able to come up with something. I paid $289 for the kit shipped to the house, which I consider a real bargain compared to what a custom paint job was going to cost me. :)

$289?!? Wow! Yeah, I'd say that was a bargain!

I'll definitely be contacting them to see if they can do anything for my bike.

Thanks.
