• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When I learned that the new "up and out" mirror extenders would require surgery to my BRP touring shield, I was disappointed and sought a different solution. I use steerable convex "fisheye" mirrors in my pickup truck, but my Spyder lacked a place to mount one of usable size (IMO) or close enough. I settled on Emgo bar end mirrors and attached 3 inch aimable fisheyes to them. They turned out great. I now have a panorama view behind me. Nobody is in my 6 without me knowing ( or my 5,4,7 or 8). The Emgos are adjustable in 3 different planes and the fisheyes swivel, so I would think this setup could fit anyone. I retain my stock mirrors for normal highway use and to admire my riding gauntlets, lol.

I like the look! Where did you get them and how expensive where they? I see where it would help in the whole mirror concept, very interested..

I got the Emgos at my local Yamaha dealer, but I just Googled up "emgo bar end" and I see Wikio sells them for $12.71 each. The fisheyes are available at any automotive store, I paid under $6 for the pair at Canadian Tire. Be sure to get the aimable fisheyes. They make them both aimable and fixed. For some reason it did not declare which it was on the outside of the cello packaging. All told, a fairly inexpensive solution.

How do those mount? If you already have anti-vibration bars with the billet endcaps, could you still use these mirrors?

No, I had to remove my anti-vibes as the Emgos fit inside the bars. To tell the truth, I don't miss them much as I didn't notice a lot of difference with the anti-vibes in. Then again, the Emgos themselves should stiffen the bars enough to lessen vibration somewhat, as well.
