• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BikeVis Bullet LED lights

I also found them on eBay for $19.95 plus shipping which is a lot better price. The seller is in Knoxville TN and I will be getting a couple of pairs from him tomorrow while I am there.

I've been trying to find more specs on these lights, like lumen output, watts, color temp, etc.

Anyone find these anywhere?

They offer white or blue, and the their package label show 0.02 amps power rating ea, and >60 Lumens light output ea. ( Specs are also shown at www.bikevis.com )

They also have an interesting "PodMod" modulator that can be used with the bullets but legality in some states may be an issue.

Thanks for the link to the review. Nicely done. For my need, I really need a reflector housing, focused beam. I DID order the 12v pond lights (NOT cheap) and we'll see how they work as cornering lights).

Those look very interesting. For those of you who get some, please post your reviews on them with pictures as well.

I did pickup a few pairs of these last week and have been playing with them some. I cant give a real review at this point but can pass on some comments.

The bullet lights are mounted in a small plastic housing, not metal. They seem fairly durable & weatherproof but are clearly not heavy duty industrial quality. The color is very white, about like a 6000 hid, but they also sell a blue version of the light. I have left one light turned on for several days continuously since I got them and it still looks fine and is barely warm.

In a dark room, they put out a surprising amount of light and should work well as accent lights, on the bike exterior or underneath. They are bright enough that I cant look at them at night close-up straight-on for more than a glance.
They should work well to improve visibility of the bike, but I wouldnt buy them expecting them to do more than that. I mounted one of these as a light in my RT trunk and it does well, but there are probably cheaper options for that.

I did order one of the "PodMod" modulators to try out with the Bike-Vis bullets and will post some comments when I receive it and get a chance to play with it.

The eBay seller for the bullets has only a limited supply left, about 20 sets, and will not have any more when those are gone. The only other known sources (US & England) want $40+ per pair instead of $20+ !
Not sure I would buy at the higher price!

I'll post some pictures when I get some of these mounted on my RT.

Thanks for the additional info. I will be looking forward to your later impressions on them when you play with them some more. The modulator piece may be fun as well. ;)
