• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

is it just me, or are there an awful lot of spiders for sale lately? is it the end of season purge?:dontknow::yikes:or is it a sign of the times?

Dunno....

However, it has cost me. Following a successful first get together of a Georgia chapter, ONE of the rydes wound up at a local Spyder Dealership.

There was a 2008 yellow and black GS (PE 488) 2378 actual mileage. SWMBO (and I in all truthfulness) fell in love and it is now in our garage.

It's definitely a bit of all 3 issues...
More sold will mean more used ones available...
end of the season...
the economy still in the dumpster... :yikes:
So those of us that can will have more to choose from!

I was told....

...by a couple of riders who are going to sell their Spyders that fuel mileage is a big reason they are going to sell. They said 30 MPG is pretty bad for a 2 cylinder, although they are fun to ride. :ani29:

I think most of the Spyders you see for sale are from owners upgrading to new versions. I know when it's time for me to update I will be selling it rather than trading in. Dealers don't typically offer much for a trade-in but I guess you also have to figure in the reduced sales tax. When I got my 2011 RT Limited I was only offered about $10K for my HD Ultra Classic. I ended up selling it on E-Bay for over $16K.

I agree.

We have my wife's new RT Limited on order in Lava Bronze. Her 2010 will be traded and will be for sale once we take delivery of the new one.

With more and more on the road it is only natural that more will be for sale.... it is part of the evolution of the Spyder.
