• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anybody used the Biker Beads on their Spyder? Goods and Bads. I thought it would be good to keep my backside cooler on those HOT days. Thanks in Advance

We have the biker beads and we will never be without them truthfully..! I understand that they’re not for everyone but for us they work to help keep our backside from getting hot/sweaty and uncomfortable..! Nothing worse than getting off after a run and experience the uncomfortable feeling you get from getting a bit sweaty and very uncomfortable..! I give them a big thumbs up

Never considered 'em. When it's hot, riding ATGATT as I always do, all of me gets sweaty; nothing a post-ride shower can't cure.

Good for air flow for dry bottom. A bit unstable on 2 wheelers in the twisties. On a 3 wheeler, IMO it would be fine. cueman

I use them in the summer, they work for me, cool and dry. I will ride with them on for a few hours, and then take them off for an hour, repeat all day The variation is good, pressure points are different and get a break as well.

The beads are ceramic, and quite smooth and slippery. I gave mine a light sanding with 600 grit sandpaper, helps reduce sliding.

I take them off below 70 degrees.

Where are y'all purchasing you biker beads please?

I admit, I chuckled a bit when I read the title, I thought it was a Mardi Grass thing! Lol

Beadrider.com I will also say I wouldn't ride in the heat without mine. But I have a buddy that bought the same and he didn't like it. Was able to sell it to another spyder rider as soon as he wanted.

Dumb question, how do they stay on? Are there ones specifically for size of spyder seat? Kind of interested.

They have elastic cords that go under the seat pan. I modified mine to make them easy to pop on and off. On their website they do have a select by bike and Spyders are in their, I think 14" x 14" for the drivers saddle on an RT.

I just bought a car seat wooden bead seat cover at Walmart for $15 and cut it down to fit the seat. It isn't that hard to do.

Here is a much better way to keep your back side cooler in summer and warmer in the winter,
every motorcycle I have owned in the last 30 years I have equipped like this, the top part of the seat is
Micro Fiber not vinyl it is water proof but if you are unsure can be sprayed with fabric guard. this seat on my
spyder has been there for 5 years feels good you don't slip around don't get hot or cold and with a
Motorcycle Dave's Gel kit installed it is an ALL DAY SEAT.... Call me for details
Spyder.jpg click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the seat.
