• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

bike is apart

well i started yesterday and the bike is now apart. i am installing the hand brake system on the bike and i can see ISCI has redesigned it a lil. there used to be a return spring that you had to fasten to a place on the bike to bring the brake back to normal position but it is now built onto the frame of the slave cylinder. another thing is that the cat and muffler are no longer a slip on joint like a regular muffler. there are no gaskets for the pipe to muffler connection, it is now what looks like a ball type fitting with one strap that connects the two pipes. pictures will be posted later today.

well people all i have to say is a real easy job turned out to be kicking my butt. so i am taking a break because i needed to walk away or burn the bike. i can't believe i snapped a hardened bolt and couldn't drill it out. so i had to go buy a stainless bolt and drill and tap a new hole. story of my life people i can help anyone do anything and get it done right, but when working on my stuff i am like a bull in a china shop. but in time it will be done

I had mine into the dealers for the 3000 mile check this morning and I ask him about installing the handbrake. He said they don't normally do it, but if I had a doctors slip, that would make it a "handicapped modification" which they can do without liability. He's going to ask the owners before I order it, but he's pretty sure they'll do it. I also asked him about tires and he's off looking for alternates for me. Good dealer  We (he and I) estimated the rear is about half worn with 3000 miles on it. So it sounds like he's open to mounting "other than stock" tires.

You know what I like about your posts John??

Despite sitting here and not being able to walk without crutches, and not being able to ride,,,,, for some reason when I read your posts, I feel much better about my life. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Sorry bro. I hope you get a chuckle out of that. It was the intent!

i did my last hand break and i had no problems, i am glad your dealer is working with you and hope he will install it for you.

Relax..!!

it's not a race. As tech's would say "the money is in beating the flat rate" you don't have a flat rate...:roflblack::roflblack: The greatest tool made is the hammer (manual) operated impact driver. Have found it a life saver for overtightened or rusted screws nuts and bolts. Your a brave one don't even let it cool down and you have it all apart..:roflblack: Good luck with the rest of your projects and some pic's will be nice...:2thumbs:

Glad to see you took a break
I usually don't walk away from a project and then make it worse
Don

:congrats:  :firstplace: :2thumbs:
