• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Little bit about me. I was 400 lbs and headed in the wrong direction health wise. Started exercising, eating better and dropped a 100lbs but still unable to find a motorcycle jacket that will fit. Still working at the weight loss...losing another 100lbs would be GREAT but I'll settle for 50lbs. I want to wear the proper gear, AGATT. Suggestions where to look? Thanks!!!

I am sure I have a jacket that will fit you. What kind of jacket type are you looking for?

i am 300 plus so i wear either a carhart jacket from work and gear or a army jacket from a army and navy store. both very warm

There out there....

Thing is you have to try them. The industry has messed with sizes so much you can't trust what they say. Who is a size "O"..??!!:roflblack:. Cycle Gear carries large sizes if your looking for armor type ryding jackets. Wilson leathers has some regular jackets and you can follow up on the offers above...

I'm not picky but prefer a armored jacket. But something to get me thru the summer riding season. Hopefully by the fall I would have dropped some more weight.

I use River Road. size 52. Im in that same weight range as you are at 6'3". I have seen Jay Leno wear the same on I have on his show.

I'm 5'11" and about 300 LBs.and I bought a Can am Jacket this weekend that was a 2X I actually wasn't even going to try it on until I held it up. I thought it would be way small but it fits with room to spare. Sizes are messed up you have to try them on.

A Can Am 2X fit you? I've always found that their apparel is too small. I'm 6'1" & 284. Their ball caps, though "adjustable" are too small. I usually buy 5X shirts, which are hard to find, so I can wash and dry them to my size. Sigh

I am big guy too, health issues and heart, cant frickin exercise enough. I have been trying to find an armored jacket as I am near 400 lbs....and I have given up. I will probably go with a Jean Jacket.

Congrads on the weight loss, so it appears you are around 300 lbs.

Cyclegear has Bilt Brand up to 5XL good price now at $99.00

I have a Firstgear MeshTec in a 4X (largest they go) if I was down to 300 lbs...it would probably fit.

I have spent hours on the net and that is about it for larger armored jackets.

You can get custom leather jackets made but they are expensive.

Options also are the Carthart as suggested, Wrangler Denim jackets, carry many large sizes....just dont have as much protection.

Everywhere you read about the fattening of America, 50% of us are overweight....but...so many companies make little over a 2X.

Most of the websites have liberal return policies if things dont fit.

Good luck and ride safe !

No one is more shocked than I was. It was the only one in a size that fit me and it also matched my Yellow 2013 RTS it is Yellow with Black Trim. My wife said It was meant to be.
